By analysing the sub notions of flock using the descriptions based on both understanding, literal meanings and on research from the myriad of articles as a prompt to create spacial imagery and in tern soundscapes based on these images allows for a grounding and base when starting the compositions. The experimentation of using AI imagery as well as soundscapes in conjunction with the articles attached, allows for an immediate visualisation of what each subtopic can represent and how each subtopic can influence, correlate and interact with one another and with the notion of ‘flock’ as a whole. It creates a foundation whereby the typification of what is deemed on a surface level as the usual soundscape and/or visual representation is rendered minute and rather makes way for a cacophony of different modes of individualised, shared and cooperative means. While the AI can produce more stereotypical images and soundscapes, the minute speculative notions based on the un-specificity that is produced becomes the foundation of the notion of the myriad of individual journeys that create the ‘flock.’

Within the unity of flocks lies "dissonance," representing the discordant notes that emerge from collective gatherings. This subtopic delves into the complexities and contradictions within flocks, where divergent ideas challenge coherence. The compositions will portray the interplay of dissonance and harmony, revealing the richness of flock dynamics in all their intricacies.

Refers to the self-organised and collective decision-making processes. Instead of relying on a single leader or central authority to dictate their movements, these organisms operate based on simple rules and interactions with their neighbours. Each individual within contributes to the group's overall behaviour by responding to local stimuli.

There is a sense of structure or order. Westerkamp offers a thought-provoking exploration of soundscape composition and its significance in contemporary music. The use of environmental sounds as the source material for soundscape composition, coupled with new audio technology allows vital access to high-quality recordings of the sounds that fill our world, whereby the sonic environment becomes a vast resource. However, a true soundscape composition solely utilising environmental sounds becomes void as soundscape composition exists exclusively in the electroacoustic realm, and its appreciation requires access to the highly specific resources.

Schizophonic, the notion of listening, refers to the sound source and its place of origin where they are disjointed, leading to a sense of disorientation and unreality. Despite this disorientation, soundscape composition can provide a meaningful space for both the composer and the audience, both in a public and private realm. The conscious listening and soundscape compositions, counteract the forces of the commercial that subdue our awareness, encouraging unconscious behaviour. Instead, it is the potential to awaken curiosity and inspire a deeper understanding of the surroundings and other cultures. Westerkamp highlights the role of soundscape composition in creating a clear sense of place and belonging whereby the expression of sonic visions, experiences, and attitudes towards soundscape, while rooted in themes of the sound environment, become, unprocessed or processed, the essence of soundscape composition the centres in the relationship between real and abstract sounds and how this connection informs the composer and audience. The celebration of the soundscape composition as a forum for conscious listening and a means to communicate with the environment, invites listeners and composers to actively engage with the ordinary and provide a unique space for a deeper connection between the inner and outer worlds and expand our appreciation of reality.
